It was decided that 11pm was a bit too early to call it a night but finding a good excuse to prolong the night was difficult- tummies were full, coffee shops are passe, and clubs are way too loud for tired buffoons who just want to have a drink or two and a place to sit back and hear each other out.
The nondescript bar-slash-restaurant-slash-videoke at the ground floor of Lotus Tower Oriental Garden condominum in Makati called Chunky Boy's Drunken Barbeque seemed like the perfect spot for this kind of a nightcap.

Chunky Boy has three areas- one is the bar & restaurant (the one in picture) with dim lighting, the bar where all the drinks are, and tables set up for people who will eat; another area is the bright videoke room with two TVs dedicated for those who want to sing; and the smoking area, which is really just a few tables set up outside the other two major areas.

We ordered cheese sticks and beer and decided to stay at the smoking area, not because we wanted to smoke, but more because it was a cool night, and it was a lot quieter outside. Because it was such a nice night to be out, we ended up staying for another round at this out-of-the-way hangout along the side streets of Makati.
For the most part, it was an enjoyable way to spend the night- cold beer in hand, warm cheese sticks to nibble on and lighthearted conversation, the noise from the bar, the videoke, and the rest of the city seemingly a world away.

Looks delicious! What kind of cheese is in the sticks, and what kind of sauce is that?
I think they used regular cheddar, and the sauce is mayo with a hint of pepper, simple but effective.
They also have chili cheese sticks, which I'll try one of these days. :)
